Memorial Day weekend

Kelley’s dad came in town for the weekend and he and Thor installed a fence in our backyard. It looks awesome! Andrea spent a lot of time with Mom out in the shade while the guys worked. She really likes being outside – looking at the trees and feeling the breeze.

Saturday evening while we waited for the cement to dry around the fence posts we went to the lake where Thor keeps the boat and took Andrea on her first boat ride. Even though she didn’t go in the water, we dressed her up in the cutest little bikini and swimsuit cover-up that we were given. She looked adorable! (I’ll add a picture here as soon as we get them off the camera.) She nursed most of the time while Thor wakesurfed and we toured the lake, because she’s going through a bit of a growth spurt the past few days, but she seemed to enjoy the boat. She wasn’t even phased when water sprayed on her or when the wind blew her little bit of hair around.

For Memorial Day itself, we’re just planning to lay low at our house while Dad and Thor install laminate flooring in Thor’s condo. We already packed enough into Andrea’s weekend that we could all use a break.

So Many Visitors!

Andrea has been a very popular little girl — she’s had lots of visitors already!

At the hospital, the night of Andrea’s birth, we were visited by Uncle Thor and his girlfriend Alicia, Susan and Dave, Bill, and Todd and Sarah. The next day, Paul’s mom (“Oma”) and Auntie Karen arrived.

Since we’ve come home, we’ve had lots more visitors: Susan, Todd and Sarah, Janie, Gwen, Sarah and Nate, Thor and Alicia, Kelley’s parents, Manny, and Marynelle & Gordon Steele (Grandma’s friends).

We are looking forward to more visitors soon, including great-grandparents, Cheryl and Bella, Darryn and Ellen, and more. 🙂
