Last Day of 2 year old Preschool

Today was the last day of 2 year old preschool for my little girl. She goes to the 3 year old class in the Fall. She’ll have just one teacher, instead of 2 like she has now, and she’ll be expected to walk down the hall to use the bathroom. She’ll also start going on walking field trips to the senior home across the street to sing songs and deliver crafts to the residents there. I can’t believe how much she’s growing up.

I’m not sure what all we’ll do this summer to entertain ourselves, but I know we’ll be going to ImagineIt! Children’s Museum of Atlanta and the Georgia Aquarium a lot, since we have annual memberships to both. (And, most importantly, they are both inside and air conditioned, so we can escape from the summer heat.) We’ll also have plenty of park playdates with our friends, and go to the pool a lot this summer. And we’ve got family trips planned to Florida and Missouri in the next month or so, plus hopefully Andrea and I will be taking trips to Utah and Michigan also. That should keep us busy! 🙂

Without further ado, here are pictures from Andrea’s last day of school…

As I was taking her to school, I realized she looked a bit like a cheerleader with the white shirts and huge red hair bow:

All the kids decorated these visors for the end of school party:

Blogging again!

I’m determined to get back to updating this blog again regularly. For today, I just wanted to say that I uploaded some new pictures to our SmugMug gallery.

And while I’m here, I thought I’d share one of the new pictures I posted, a pretty shot of me and Andrea on Mother’s Day…

Rhino!

My goal is to start posting something cute that Andrea does or says every day. I’ll start with something from yesterday.

We were at the airport in Detroit after visiting our friends Dana and Hannah (pictures from the trip are here), and we stopped for a pre-flight snack and drink at Max & Ermas. On the wall, was a big sign with this logo:

Andrea pointed to it and said, “Rhino!”

I said, “Very good! That’s a rhino.”

Then Andrea exclaimed, “He’s stuck! He’s stuck in an ‘O’!” Followed by, “He’s sad…” in a very sympathetic tone. I had to reassure her that the rhino wasn’t stuck and that he liked the O. Hahaha. 😉

Also, while we were eating, she could see the tram go by overhead every couple of minutes, and every single time, she yelled, “Another train!” LOL So after we ate, we went and rode on the train from one end of the terminal to the other, and back again, since we were already right by our gate. She loved it. She kept saying, “Faster, faster!” and “Again, again!” Everyone on the train was giggling.

New pictures!

We just posted new pictures in the 3rd Month and 4th Month albums on Krohnert.org. Click the “My Photo Gallery” link to the right to see them. (We also posted a few highlights to Facebook.)

Announcements!

It took us while, but we finally got Andrea’s birth announcements out in the mail, so if you are coming to this blog for the first time after getting her announcement, welcome!

You can click on the Photo Gallery link to the right to see lots more pictures of Andrea.
We just added a Month 3 album with some brand new pictures, so enjoy!

Thanks to everyone for all the cards, emails, phone calls, flowers, and gifts over the past few months. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful baby and to have family and friends as amazing as you.

Heads up!

Over the past week or two, Andrea has gotten really good at holding her head up. She’s even starting to do little baby pushups when we put her on her quilts for “tummy time”. She’s strong enough now that she can hold her head up for quite a while and look around from side to side when she’s on her stomach. We have such fun laying on the floor playing now!
